Google Ads Browser & Server-Side Tracking Setup via Google Tag Manager

In this project, I implemented a complete Google Ads Conversion Tracking system using both browser-side and server-side tagging through Google Tag Manager. The setup ensures accurate tracking of all major e-commerce events across the funnel:

  • View Content
  • Add to Cart
  • Begin Checkout
  • Purchase

Each event was configured to trigger from both browser and server, ensuring reliable data even when browser tracking is blocked. I also added event deduplication to prevent double counting.

This dual-layered tracking helped improve ad performance, campaign optimization, and return on ad spend by sending more accurate and consistent conversion data to Google Ads.

The setup was built for flexibility and scalability, allowing the client to grow without losing critical tracking visibility.
